    m.A.d it's an instrumental, experimental album I recorded with a progressive metal playing and an industrial sound production. It was all mixed and mastered in one step without compression in order to keep its natural dynamics and studio quality.

about

m.A.d came from old compositions I worked on when I was back in high school at the age of sixteen. It was later on in college when I started recording the album. I wanted something fresh, even down to the guitar tone. Something industrial with a retro'ish sound like early 80's front242 with guitar tones inspired by NIN, which are directly recorded. Aggressive like Pantera yet progressive like Joe Satriani which is a conservative playing away from shredding. This was an era where soloing was hated due to MTV's constant propagandas against metal music. So, yes, I had had to hold back on technique significantly. Something I somewhat regret in many ways. But. It made m.A.d the way it is, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

The mastering had zero compression in order to preserve its dynamics. I've never liked compressing the mix to make it louder. Sacrificing dynamics over loudness is not necessarily better. I simply took the mix to its peak without distorting it and left it as it was. Straight out of the studio with its natural sound. I hope you enjoy it.
