about

Arsenio Oro 5/18/217

This song was inspired by what happened to my father in Cuba. He was part of an anti-communist and anti-Fidel Castro movement in his younger years. Him and his friends carried out an attack on the communists and went to jail for it. He escaped only to be capture soon after. They tortured him and gave him 20 electroshock therapy treatments to the point where he wouldn't remember who he was. The music video I made for it is about something similar in nature. But, not about what the song is about.

lyrics

Lost In My Own Mind

Sitting here, Looking at the world
Making sence of the simple things
Thinking of the past regretting what I've done
Worrying if I ever make it back again

chorus
feeling so longly in this world Im in
No one to ask for help No one to lend a hand
fighting on my own with nothing but time to spear
Victim of my own mind slave to this world Im in

Every day I wake but still feels like a dream
Can't control the thigs I see or feel
Reminding my own self what its fake or real
Waiting for one day when I walk away from this

chorus

Pain and Fear sets in
nothing will stop this but,
time will pass and heal
My Mind

Slowly I'll awake from this, I know
Never will I walk that destructive path
Stronger I will be away from the life I had
I will take this chance to right all wrongs I've done

chorus

about

Arsenio Oro Florida

Oro is a Cuban musician that loves Classical Guitar, Metal, and Industrial music. Not traditional in anyway nor a tone purist. Likes being technical without sounding like a shredder. Whatever technique he uses he uses it because the music asks for it, not because it's difficult or looks cool. "Music is art, not a magic show" -- Arsenio Oro ... more
